2025 Schedule is tough!

That's a pretty difficult schedule. Away games Penn St, Rutgers, Northwestern, Iowa, FUSKIES. Montana State is going to be a challenge as well. Don't know what has happened to Oklahoma State. Minnesota, Idiana, USC are tough home games too. I hope we can win 9-10.

I wouldn't call the schedule difficult, I would call it opportunistic

they should cut the schedule down to 10 games....that way the regular season means more.

Who is going to remember Oregon beating Ohio State in a top 3 matchup at Autzen? That game should have been historical but it means nothing in light of of the ridiculous system.
Imagine if this entirely plausible scenario played out:
-Oregon beats OSU at home
-Ohio State doesn't lose to Michigan, and Penn State loses
-Oregon plays and beats OSU in the B10 championship game
-Oregon loses to OSU in quarterfinal
Can you imagine beating OSU twice and having that all thrown out the window b/c of quarterfinal loss?
Dumb system.

We won't have to play Ohio State and Michigan, probably the best two defensive teams in the Big Ten.
We really should win every home game. Some decent teams come to Autzen, but no one elite. We will lose to Penn State on the road, then @Northwestern, @Rutgers, @Washington, and @Iowa. I'd like to think we should win 3 out of those 4.
Overall a pretty reasonable schedule.

I would say that us winning at a high level depends on how this team comes together next year. QB is a huge question mark. O-line is in flux right now. Defense needs to plug a bunch of holes. WR room could be really good or pedestrian. IF I was a betting man and the line for us was 9.5 wins next year, I would not take that bet. Hopefully everything works out perfect for us.

Yeah I don't think 9.5 would be far off to what we see come fall. But I don't think that's because of our schedule.

We've won 39 of our last 40 games at Autzen. I will be sad if we lose to Minnesota.

Still a lot of chatter about Allar going pro. If he goes, I’m much less worried about the PSU game. They recruit well, but don’t usually reload overnight, and Franklin hugs his own neck in big games against good defenses.
What am I missing about Iowa/Minn? They’re PSU-lites. Not saying Oregon doesn’t lose either game, but if they do, they beat themselves. The talent and coaching disparities are sizable.
Rivalry game @ UW - scary because it’s a road game and we have reason to believe Fisch can coach, but they’ll have a young QB and they lose some talent at RB/WR.
USC - who knows at this point? More scared of both USC’s and Riley’s legacies than either in their current state.
If QB Moore is the guy running off QB recruits and brining Stewart back for another go at it, and this team matures as the season progresses, I don’t see why Oregon couldn’t screw themselves over again with the 1 seed next year.

Yeah, I don't see a tough schedule. A lot of it is probably because I don't respect the B1G that much. Generally 2-3 good teams and a bunch of mediocre teams, and the Ducks are missing most of the good teams. The B1G just has a huge lack of playmakers, so with a decent defense, if you can put up 24+, you'll win basically every game. Look at how this season shook out. There were very few games where the Ducks were challenged. Once they got a 2 score lead, the game was pretty much decided.

Iowa honestly is just because they're at home. I think they're 12-2 at home the last couple seasons. Their D is stubborn, so I could see this being the 2025 version of our Wisconsin road game.
Personally, I don't think we will lose a game at home, but I could see us losing 2-3 games on the road.
As much as the Huskies didn't look great this year, I agree don't sleep on them. Washington has won 20 straight games at home. It'll be a grind next year.

I could see Allar leaving if he somehow leads PSU to a title. That would leave a huge hole in their QB room as their main backup already transferred to Mizou.

Penn State is the only one that truly scares me next season, but their defense won't be quite as good, and their offense will take a dip as well, especially if Allar goes. I actually don't see them being a good as they are this season. Outside of that, they're all games Oregon should win.

I agree. Penn State is losing both of their starting RBs, as well as their stud tight end and edge rusher. They're losing more than that, but that's just what I can think of off the top of my head.
I don't think Aller is a very good QB. Maybe better than anyone in the portal, though.
If we can get most of our seniors to stay, and get that RB (Hughes?) from Tulane, I think we'll be in a great position next year to make a run at the playoffs. I don't see 11-1 or 10-2 being out of the question.
