Do folks consider this the "real" conference championship, or does that sentiment go to the regular season champ?

Depends on if Oregon wins it or not.

Dzierwa pitched today for MSU so we most likely won’t see him on Thursday which is really good news for Oregon.

Nebraska beat Michigan State in the 10th inning so Oregon has to beat the Huskers on Friday to advance. Their game on Thursday against Michigan State is most meaningless except for national perception and seeding purposes.

Yup MSU game means nothing for the tournament. If Oregon wants a super regional seed, I think they gotta at least make it to the championship game to have a shot.

Nebraska didn't use their two best starters against MSU. While neither of them are statistically amazing, smart move by them to throw their best at us on Friday.

Michigan State really choked that game away which is a bummer since they played Dzierwa. While the game is meaningless for the B1G tournament I do think if Oregon drops a single game they probably lose any chance at being a top 8 seed so from my perspective the game on Thursday is important. Granted I’m not sure what Oregon’s projected seeding is and I’m just looking at the RPI so maybe I’m completely off.

Ducks are leaving a lot of runners stranded so far, need some more timely hitting. Huge opportunity wasted by Walsh of all people there with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th.

Ducks finally get a couple runs on hits by Drew Smith and Anson Aroz.

Good pitching from Ian. Offense struggled to turn base runners to runs.

Not ideal given the winner has to play the first game tomorrow. The Big Ten also messed up by scheduling the final pool play game after a useless exhibition game with the USC/UW game being meaningless.
