Kickoff times for 6 Oregon games announced

Post by greenyellow »

Oregon had 6 kickoff times announced today, with the most prominent one being a White Out game at Penn State on Sept. 27th. They only have one Friday game later in the season when Minnesota comes to Autzen but do have a 9 AM Big Noon kickoff at Northwestern.

Does Northwestern not have lights on the soccer practice field where we're playing them?

It's the dumb Big Noon game. I know it was necessary, but I'll forever hate being in the B1G for these reasons. I'll actually probably be at that game, only because my buddy had to bail last minute on going to the Wisconsin game with me last year, and he's always wanted to check out Chicago, so we're planning to go and catch some Cubs games, along with going to this game. Obviously, the game should be pretty boring, but most B1G matchups are, as they're rarely competitive with the lack of offense in the conference.

I couldn’t imagine how much Ryan Day and the Ohio State fanbase would cry if they had to play a 9:00 local time game.

Excited for Minnesota, that’s gonna be a tough one but I always enjoy Friday night games.

It's 50/50 that I'll be there, as well. For my friend group that's spread around the country, it doesn't get much easier than meeting in Chicago, and it's a great city. The only problem is spending $300+ per ticket to see what will probably be a blowout.

Oh shoot. Are they that much at face value? I guess it makes sense with the lack of seating. With the lack of seats, is Oregon still getting an allotment? I was going to try buying them from the ticket office, but my hope was not a lot of fans would care to travel for this game. Haven’t been monitoring super closely, so maybe I missed them going on sale.

For sure. I’ll have to let you know. If I can’t find cheaper ticket prices, I’m not sure we’re going this game. I don’t mind dishing out $300 for a big game, but $300 for Oregon to beat Northwestern by 40 on a soccer field doesn’t sound as appealing!

The "soccer field" part of this is actually what intrigues me. Never thought I'd see the Ducks play in a venue smaller than at Wyoming, but here we go.

Wait for the price drop last minute.

That’s what I usually do. Just hard to convince my buddy to do the same when we’re both having to travel there. Plus, with the scarcity of seats, I’m wondering if we might not see the price drop. From what I can tell, Ducks haven’t sold their visiting allotment yet for any games, so I might just try to keep an eye on that.

Got some face value tickets for $160 today from the Ducks ticketing office. Locked in for what should hopefully be a Northwestern beatdown!

We'll have another round of conference alignment before Ohio State comes back to Autzen, lol
