CFB streaming for $49.99 a month?
Youtube TV is offering this deal which should go through November 26th (21 days free, then $49.99 per month for 3 months). Getting majority of the college football regular season for under $150 is a steal. If you've already signed up, you'll need a new email (and maybe new cc?).
After it expires, I'll probably just switch over to a cheaper option like sling for post season and basketball season.

In my area sling only offers fox for local channels. I don’t care the price, if I can’t get basic channels included, what’s the point?

Yeah for CFB season, it's really nice to have it all. That's why this youtube TV deal is pretty sweet. But for basketball season, I don't mind not having DVR for local channels, so sling works + antenna for local channels.buckmarkduck wrote: Tue Aug 05, 2025 7:31 pm In my area sling only offers fox for local channels. I'm confused. For years I have gotten most duck football games free over the air, mainly Fox and ABC. Most of the rest show up as free youtube streams. That and all the hours of other big games broadcast OTA have given me all the hours of OTA college football that I care to watch. I have never been tempted to sign up for cable or streaming services.
There is recent news, though, about Fox and ESPN putting together streaming services. Is there any chance this will impact the OTA games?

Absolutely. If those are games that are going to be aired directly on fox or ESPN, you'd need to have some sort of subscription to see them. The advantage to having a streaming service is that you can record the games. If you have no reason to record, OTA should work fine for most games73duck wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 3:58 pm I'm confused. Yup DVR, no pop up ads, nice resolution on TV, ability to watch 4 games at once, on button touch to toggle between games, etc.
Also don’t wanna be at the mercy of a random feed being available.

I have a DVR that records OTA games. PQ is better than cable. ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC have broadcasted college football free OTA for years. Was just curious if the OTA access to college football was going to change.

Nah shouldn’t change. I keep my antenna around for the 8 months I don’t use YouTube tv.
