I think the penalty had less to do with the actual sign stealing, and more to do with their unwillingness to cooperate, and the lengths that Michigan was willing to go to gain a competitive advantagePhalanx wrote: Fri Aug 15, 2025 4:03 pm Is this still the thing about sending a guy to watch other teams from the stands? It's funny that anyone is still talking about this, especially after they beat the snot out of everyone in the postseason that year without using any sign-stealing.
Almost every source has said Michigan was less than forthcoming in nearly every stage and interview. Probably would have gotten less if they just admitted to what they'd done.squintsdd wrote: Fri Aug 15, 2025 7:21 pmI think the penalty had less to do with the actual sign stealing, and more to do with their unwillingness to cooperate, and the lengths that Michigan was willing to go to gain a competitive advantagePhalanx wrote: Fri Aug 15, 2025 4:03 pm Is this still the thing about sending a guy to watch other teams from the stands?
