Thoughts on the game

Good to see a game with such non biased refs and announcers.
Dunno why but I think McClellan(sp)will be a good wr for the Ducks.
The defense played great against the run(even with the non existent holding calls)
The Oline opened some nice lanes and played a all around good game. Good to see
I was happy that it wasnt Gus Johnson calling the game....until I remembered who was calling the game
Anyone else see Lanning and the Iowa coach before the game? They were laughing. Sorta weird to see the Iowa coach smile
Anyone elses heart sink a little when they realized the game was gonna be decided by a Oregon kicker.
Still scratching my head on some of those pass calls ...when Oregon was getting 5-6 yards a carry
A good win.

Apparently Oregon should exclusively get their kickers from the Portland metro. I trust Atticus Sappington (and Aidan Schneider before him) much more than I trust our defense on a critical 3rd/4th down.

Never change Stu. I will die on the hill that you are our beloved version of the Japanese Grounds Crew from "Major League".
I find it part of your charm. You demand excellence from all phases of our team and I dig it.
To duckfan96's points:
- No $h!t right? Although Danielson changed his tune at the end and after the game. He gave Oregon love.
- McClellan is VALUABLE. Not just as part of the WR Room! How many punts has he got a hand on this year as an edge rusher on the punt coverage unit?
- Yes. Iowa was holding on pretty much everything that wasn't between the tackles. Their Oline just was overwhelmed athletically
- Our Oline mauled them. In College football "fundamentally sound" and "disciplined" D is much the same as "gym rat" and "scrappy" in basketball. It's code for unathletic & white. Iowa's DC puts his unit in primarily zone and gives you short passing all day. Wow, that is simply revolutionary! #Eyeroll #Sarcasm. It's because he doesn't have the athletes and he needs an opposing offense to beat themselves so the offense plays ball control and keep away and by proxy, Iowa's defensive numbers look better on paper than they really are. I was unimpressed with anything about Iowa other than their crowd.
- LOL. That is low-key hilarious
- Kirk Ferentz longs for the days of leather helmets. He thinks Mario Cristobal needs to "not be so cute"
- Yes. I almost puked and I don't drink
- I'm cutting Stein a break because go back and really watch our VERY FIRST play of the game. Had Noah caught it our WR's had their men locked up one-on-one in prime blocking leverage and there was a huge crease for Noah to get through for a large gain if not house it. Although to be fair, the officials might have called holdng or illegal man down field. But our very first play from scrimmage was set up to be a huge play. The INT was on Perry. Dak Moore makes that catch, as does Benson or Bryant. Moore put that thing on a rope in a good spot, IMHO.

Sounds about right. Special teams was exceptional, and in miserable weather too! Run game was dominant. And yes our D played very well. Some blown coverages here and there but overall solid!!
Also, we would have scored more if the refs weren’t making up calls. They killed at least two drives.

Monday thoughts after watching extended highlights:
• Mixon seemed to play well. Led the team in tackles and seemed to be in on a lot of plays
• Finney is a playmaker. Two FF by him was big time.
• I really like Jamari Johnson. We have two awesome TEs.
• Moore played better than it felt during the game.
