Props to the committee having Iowa at 21 being the highest 3 loss ranked team (over Tennessee and Missouri).

Most of these schools exist in vacuums still. Either Indiana, Iowa, and Oregon are all pretty good teams or they all stink. Either Georgia, Alabama, and Ole Miss are all pretty good teams or they all stink. Miami, Notre Dame, and Texas A&M are all good or they all stink.

They have good records because they haven't played anyone outside their bubbles. That's arithmetic.

It's the ol' "eye test," I guess. And I think that's helped the Ducks.

Ridiculous that we are behind Ole Miss. We average 5.2 in the computer rankings to their 8.5

The SEC is getting the benefit of the doubt once again while the Big Ten isn't.

They got 14/16 teams in to the NCAA tourney last year as well, it's ruining college sports in general. Seeing it Softball and Baseball as well.

Ya should we be above Ole Miss? Probably. I still think Penn State's downfall has negated that W by in most people's brains.

Also, doesn't help when SEC goes 10-3 against other conferences. And Big Ten only goes 6-6 against SEC/Big 12/ACC.

I certainly haven't analyzed the other teams in the top 12 and potential outcomes of the different games, etc., carefully, but I do think that if the Ducks win out (and I do think they need to), #6 looks about right.

It's going to depend on the rest of the teams in play, and this weekend will play a HUGE factor!

Pitt vs Notre Dame - I think Notre Dame wins easily, but an upset would knock the Irish out.

Oklahoma vs Alabama - I think this could go either way. If OU wins then that would make them and Alabama both 8-2. What would happen there? You'd have to put the Sooners ahead of the Tide, but how far would Alabama slide from #4? If OU loses they're out,.

Texas vs Georgia - Same scenario as above, though I think Georgia wins this game. Still, if they were to lose, both them and Texas would have 2 losses and Texas would own the head to head. How far would Georgia fall from #5 if they lost? If Texas loses they should be out, but may still be in consideration depending on how the chips fall due to 2 of their 3 losses being to Georgia and Ohio State. Of course, they'd have to win out, and that would include beating Texas A&M.

I don't think the Committee would put any 2 loss team over a one loss Oregon, especially if the Ducks beat Minnesota tomorrow night.

It would be interesting if a 2 loss Alabama or Georgia would be ranked ahead of Notre Dame, though.
