Are we cheering to be in the conference championship or not?
If we run the table and then lose the conf championship then we risk not making the playoff.
Additionally, Dante Moore still has an outside chance at the Heisman. The two front runners for the Heisman are Mendoza/Sayin. If he outplays one of these guys in the championship game, he has a serious shot at the Heisman. If we don't make the championship game, there's almost 0% chance he wins the Heisman b/c he has too much ground to make up.
The Dante Moore / Heisman thing isn't something i thought about until 5 minutes ago, but i think it's a serious factor to cheer for a championship game. Not like we drive the outcome, but just a thought.

Re: Question on BIG 10 championship
My sense is Moore is not one of the Heisman hopefuls this year. The only talking heads I have seen mentioning him for consideration are the Big 10 honks on halftime shows, etc.
I think the chances are pretty slim that the ducks make the Big Ten championship game this year. Indiana holds a tie-breaker and Ohio State is cruising through their conference schedule. My question now is if Oregon gets into the playoffs if they lose to USC. If the Ducks were in the SEC, then of course, but there are going to be a bunch of 10-2 teams among the bluebloods this year and the polls have been ranking Oregon below most other teams with the same record.

Question on BIG 10 championship
It’s comical. Yesterday, the ESPN radio honks were saying if TX lost a tight game to GA and won their final game, they still might sneak in with 3 losses.
But we’d be out with 2 loses? Because the SEC is so amazingly much harder I suppose. I hope the SEC gets obliterated in the playoffs. It won’t help because they’ll just spool the same thread up again next year, but it’ll be satisfying to watch them scurry around and try to spin from every which way.

Re: Question on BIG 10 championship
Oregon is probably/possibly out with two losses because it will likely have no wins against ranked opponents. It could/would be edged out by a three-loss SEC team if the third loss was in the SEC title game (unlikely) because they don't want to penalize teams for playing in conference title games, but there would be plenty of 2 loss teams anyway with arguably better resumes than Oregon's.
Much better for them to win out; at least one projection has Alabama coming to Autzen. something I never dreamed would ever happen. Not sure I am rooting for Oregon to get the 5 seed because that means a home game with somebody like North Texas (I know, an easier win, but a home game against Notre Dame/Oklahoma/Alabama would be so cool).
