I thought it made sense to have a distinct thread for the non Duck playoff quarterfinals. If a mod doesn't want this thread, feel free to delete.

Miami and tOSU kickoff in a couple of hours. Very curious how this game might go.

Who do we root for if we want them both to lose? lol

I'm curious to see if there is a noticeable performance difference in a first round team vs a bye team due to the layoff difference. Will OSU have first half rust?

Came here to ask the same question. My hope is that it is an injury free game but also an extremely physical game so much so it causes a loss for the winner next week.

Miami dominating the trenches in the 1st quarter. They’re a scary team.

Maybe the long layoff rust is real.

Nothing is real . . . And nothing to get hung about . . .

Oh, wait, that's a song.

Not going to lie. This feels a little vindicating since Ohio State benefited from the Ducks long layoff last year. Now they are on the other end of it.

Wow, Pick 6. Sheesh, I did not see this game going this way.

Wow, that Pick 6 for Miami was huge. Now to see how the Buckeyes respond after they looked like they had gotten into gear with the Smith bomb.

lol I guess Ryan Day would agree with Lanning right about now. Yea, a month off does indeed make a difference.

I gotta admit, I hate MC, but I do enjoy watching Ohio State eat some humble pie. They have had this coming.

I don't know why you would hate Mario. He resurrected Oregon football, especially recruiting. He did steal recruits on his way out, but I was so happy he was gone, I forgave him. Oregon got a huge payout from Miami and a better coach who also kept the recruiting thing going. Oregon won that deal, and Mario can be Mario in Miami now. I am glad he made the playoffs over Notre Dame, I just wish Notre Dame had made it over Alabama or Oklahoma.

Also, we all know Ohio State is coming back in the second half, so not getting carried away here. The fact that this is happening to Ohio State probably means the layoff issue will finally get addressed. Nobody cared when Oregon lost last year. Lots of tv people will care about this.

If all 1st round bye teams lose again this year, do you think the extended layoff is gone next year?
