LB Brayden Platt to miss time

Sounds like LB Brayden Platt is still out after an injury suffered in the spring and will likely miss a few games as well. Second straight year he's had an injury that caused him to miss the start of the season. So far, the expected LB haul from the 2024 isn't amounting to much as Mothudi transferred, Platt has been injured and Dylan Williams is still vying for more reps.

Definitely worried about the LB depth and the defense being held back by the LB group, especially when we have such an elite DL and secondary.

Disappointing on a lot of fronts. I’d like to get to see him succeed, the team needs him depth-wise, and his health history isn’t a plus looking down the road. Hopefully he isn’t snake bit. Definitely a position that screams HELP this season.

I could see 1-2 Freshman in the rotation at LB, especially against lesser opponents. That could make the position much stronger by mid-season onward.

True, but I’m freaking hoping not. Ducks are all in this year, and this is what could possibly be the weakest position this year. Teams don’t win the natty with weak LB’rs, and experience is critical. They may have already been behind the eight ball in terms of quality at the position. Very surprised money wasn’t spent on the LB core, based on ‘hope’ DJ would elevate himself, and others would as well. Not well informed, but always felt this was the Ducks weakness, and not sure why they couldn’t re-supply like the did with Koi in the secondary. Very worried about the LB position to begin with, this doesn’t help.
