Jerry Allen Poll

Personally I can't stand to listen to inept broadcasters so I never listen to JA. Just wondering what the rest of you thought about him. I realize he's a nice guy and all, but personally I think it's time to upgrade to an announcer that's like the rest of the program, top shelf.

Well whenever I go to pick up a friend, or go get pizza on a away gameday, I get goosebumps when I hear Jerry Allen talk to Jorgy about the smallest stats on the pregame.
(Never noticed "stats" was a palindrome)

He may be passed his prime, but I love the guy, Met him a few times at some duck club events and he is a top knock guy!

When I first started watching Duck games when I was young, it was Keith Jackson that I remember hearing... Uncle Phil, get him back!

Dan Fouts and Keith Jackson = My favorite
Jerry Allen is an absolute icon and a good annoucer IMO. I am surprised anyone would feel differently????
Joe Giansante can GTFO, and if he ever does I will host a massive party that the entire board is invited to.

Jerry Allen is great, he leaves when he wants to leave. It's Jorgy that ruins the broadcast, he is so negative & makes it sound like the Ducks are losing most of the time. Joe is a really nice guy but seriously....dude needs to realize he can't call a game. Anthony Newman isn't bad, he at least has some knowledge of the game & what's happening on the field.

For the youngkers here, Wendy Ray called the Duck games on KUGN back in the late 60's/early to mid-seventy's. He was part of the first major Morning Show in the Eugene area, along with "Uncle Fuzzy", and another guy I can't recall the name of at the moment.
He was kinda dry as an anouncer, but generally accurate.
