Sorry I'm not fluent in all of the acronym lingo, but what exactly does GA mean?

Grad Assistant. The coach must go to school and coach at the same time. Its in a sense like an internship that is paid.

I would assume Defense since that is his stregnth. That said its always good for coaches when GAs to move from offense to defense to learn all areas of the field.

Hard hitting, team leader, Duck Loving kind of guy!
With the incoming group of young linebackers, I am wondering if the combination of Sirmon/Azzinaro is an attempt to beef up the performance of the the front/middle portions of the D. It could be a devastating combo.

A recent NFL player on staff is always a good thing, the players should be excited about this.

Sirmon was a great player... Seems like a bright guy too... I am pleased with this move.

Awesome news. Sermon was such a beast at LB, I'd love for him to be a full time coach here eventually.
