What a bizarre situation. Despite it all, "he still remains committed to Miami."

Even more crazy, he will probbaly still announce for them.

Stupid decision by Miami. If he says he wants to come something tells me a scholarship would be offered.

Kinda saw this coming. Finish with Brown & Gaines, I'm a happy dude.

Unless this is some sort of desperate attempt at a power play by Miami, I don't honestly see the point. I think it's a stupid move by them and a good one for us. I'm sure, though, that if BB called them up and said he was going to sign that a schollie offer would rapidly reappear.

The thing that troubled me was his dad saying he wants him to go to Miami. I think he wants to be a Duck, but the pressure of ripping his family apart is weighing heavy on his shoulders.

This article confuses me. Players sign national letters of intent. Schools offer scholarships. Right?

This article makes a national letter of intent and scholarship offer sound like the same thing. Does it just mean that Miami is out of the running if he doesn't sign this? No hat on march 12th, or 16th, or whatever. Makes you wonder why Miami drafted up this letter so early if Brown wasn't going to sign it? Sounds like they don't, but if they wanted to, could they write another?

2009 is gonna be a great year! It will be fun if Bryce Brown is on board for the ride.

The LOI they sent Brown is an offer for a deal that expires soon, apparently. The LOI is an offer to form a contract that guarantees a scholarship for the player for 1 year, for the consideration that the player may only play football at that school.

Miami can send another LOI offer whenever they want, but the current offer is set to expire soon.

This whole situation is sounding more and more like Tajh Boyd.. the fact his dad wants him at Miami seals the deal. I am not at all saying that fact parents want kid close is not of its own merit.. but the fact remain this is thier first big choice and parents should support their kids wherever they want to go. If kid wants to go to school 3000 miles away then it is the kids choice.. not the parents. Boyd wanted to go to Oregon and his mom forbidded it practically. Now Bryce Brown wants to go to Oregon and again his dad steps in pretty much saying no. I know these parents love their kids but come on.. why can they not let kid go where he wants to.

where do u hear that from? i have not seen any link or article saying that or mention about that.

Ok maybe not wants is right word to use here. Has said though he does favor Oregon. The point though is irrelevent. The point is that parents seemingly forgo what their kids want and tell them they have to stay close to family. Not downplaying importance of family.. just saying parents should support kid whever they want to go.

Double edged sword. If that were the case we wouldn;t have Diante Jackson now would we?
