Bryce Gives Tennessee High Marks

Last Weekend Bryce Brown visited Lane Kiffin, and the Tennessee Volunteers and had nothing but high praises for the Vols'. "The players and the coaches are fired up down there. I could tell that they are working hard to battle for the SEC title".

Bryce talked about spending time with the Jim Chaney, Offensive Line Coach, "We talked about how they are going to block different run plays. We also talked about the impact that Coach Kiffin had with the Oakland Raiders over the past couple of years, as well as his NFL experience with the St. Louis Rams". The offensive linemen impressed Bryce too saying, "All of the linemen there met in the morning on their own time and they were working their butts off." "One of them told me that regardless of who's behind them, they're going to rush for at least a 1,000 yards. I really liked their confidence and work ethic. I believe that the more you work the more successful you will be." When asked about his meeting with Coach Lane Kiffin, Bryce said,"It went very well, you can feel the passion that he has to make UT champions again. He already has proven that he is one of the best offensive minds in football. Coach Kiffin made a big impression on me."

One of the highlights of his trip was the other Coach Kiffin though. "Coach Monte Kiffin is high energy and hilarious, you can see why he's been so successful over the years with the Buccanneers. He really made me feel at home and I enjoyed him. For him to come to Tennessee and support his son in this way shows me alot about him and Tennessee's commitment to winning," said Bryce.

POTENTIAL PLAYERS

Bryce said that the Volunteers will be in it to the end, when he announces on March 16, 2009 at the Kansas Hall of Fame, in Wichita, KS.

D-1 watcher, curious as to why you are here, especially after dogging Oregon on most of the team boards that Brown has been considering.

Because he's a registered user that voice's his opinion and post links like everyone else here. His opinion might differ from most but that is what makes forums worth reading. To see the different opinions and different sides of a subject.

Sorry but I have seen multiple posts dogging him(not all from you) and in my opinion unnecessary.

If you watch the 'interview' for your self (It's a call in show on Kansas City station, KAKE, called OTL... for 'OvertimeLive'.), without taking portions out to fluff up a particular college, the team Bryce seems to talk up most is... The University of Oregon Ducks.

The segment is called OTL Shout Out with Bryce Brown 2/15/09.

Brown mentions several schools, but the one he talks about the most, even discussing Dennis Dixon's rehab and the help he got preparation and publicity-wise for the NFL draft. (The announcer describes Oregon's facilities as "Shangrila" for a recruit/player.)

Half the highlights are of Chris Harper in a Duck uniform. (They even have a caller trying to talk up a Harper transfer to K-State, along with a Brown commit... LOL)

The shirt Brown is wearing is from Brian Butler's outfit, PotentialPlayers.com. The hat, on the other hand...

I for one enjoy D1 watchers posts. they are based on common sense with no bull.
He is right way more than he is wrong about players and recruiting. I think like
everyone else that Brown would be a perfect fit for our offense but it may not
be the perfect fit for him. let the kid make an informed decision. I'm glad that
he took all of his visits so that if we do sign him we know it was the place he
wants to be.

I didn't recognize the hat due to the quality of the segment, but I'm assuming it's the winged Lights Out design with the O in the middle of the wings. Is that the hat he was wearing?

That's what I was assuming...

After watching that interview, I realized, Butler isn't such a bad guy, he's actually a 'good' guy, helping these high profile athletes make the most important decision of their immediate future.

Somebody please, call me crazy, but everytime I listen to a B.Brown interview, he has the highest praises for Oregon. Logically it just seems like Brown belongs at Oregon. But we'll see. Obviously, we can't get our hopes up, but at least we have a good shot!
