Hopefully they get a coach who knows how to use MMs talents. Malarkey never did.

just saw that on espn and was surprised since there was talk of an extension. Probably a good sign though since Marcus wasn't put in the best situations, hopefully they get a good coach to help him improve.

Re: Titans, Mularkey "agree to mutually part ways"
In his press conference he praised his coaches and said they were all coming back, that he liked the offense and progression of Marcus. His loyalty to his assistants is what cost him as if he agreed to can the qb coach and oc he likely would have remained. Ultimately though mularkey was never going to progress as a coach because he's too stuck in his ways and hopefully whomever they hire has an offense for Marcus.thomas time wrote:just saw that on espn and was surprised since there was talk of an extension. While it was a needed change, change can be worrisome. Excited to see Helf after Chip......... turned into a nightmare, excited to see Willie come in and what he was doing........ now Cristobal is up to bat...... same the ame about Titans And what they do with Mariota. They have a great GM, what will the next coach do? Can't say I'm excited, but Mularkey needed to go.

Basically sounds like the front office wanted him to change a couple assistants (namely his OC) and he refused. Seems he overplayed his hand and now will be headed to Cleveland as their OC, a big step down from where the Titans were headed.

Good news for the Titans and MariGOATa. They had peaked under Mularkey.

Sounds like McDaniels is likely out and that Houston Texans DC Mike Vrabel will be interviewing soon.

Some other names to watch out for: Carolina DC Steve Wilks, Eagles DC Jim Schwartz, and Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo.

Marcus deserves a better offense than tweedle dee and tweedle dumb were using. So hard to watch and no imagination whatsoever.

I saw him at one of the glazier clinics a couple years ago and I thought he was really sharp and had a ton of energy. Strictly from a quarterback development standpoint I think he would be great for Marcus. He's a no BS, tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear kinda guy. Not to mention he's done a pretty nice job w/ Wentz these past couple years, and with Derek Carr in his rookie season.greenyellow wrote:Some other names to watch out for: Carolina DC Steve Wilks, Eagles DC Jim Schwartz, and Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo.

Why Vrabel? He's only been DC one year and his defense was dead last in PPG.

In his defense, that D was decimated with injuries and suspensions. Not saying he’s the right guy but some clarification to his D performance.
