Top 5 03 Small Forwards

Carmelo Anthony B C+ C- C C+ A

Anthony had nothing to prove, and yet he went to college anyways and didn't do much of all except win the National Championship. He is one of the best slashers to come into the league for a long time. His first step is as quick as they come and he can stop and pull out on a dime. There is no way to stop him and you can only hope to slow him down. Top level talent and we could be seeing him in many All-Star game for many years to come. Nobody has higher potential in this class.

Josh Howard C+ C+ C C+ C A

This stud out of the powerhouse Atlantic can attack you in a number of ways. He has excellent size and strength for his position. In addition he has a very powerful demenour when attacking the hoop. He has a solid jump shot, and especially in his outstanding touch from deep. He takes very good care of the backetball and can put together a complete package. One of the more well rounded players in this class. If he can build on what he already has in equal proportions, he could be around for a long time.

Kyle Korver C B+ C C C- B

One of the most polished marksmen to come into the league for a long time. While some have in the gym range, the kid out of Creighton has in the county range. He has a sweet stroke that could have its own entry in Wikipedia for how you shoot the deep ball. While he isn't as bad of defender as many claim, he is very average and and rarely makes the big play. Solid potential.

James Jones C B- C- C+ C C

One of your classic three and D players. He has very good range, though nothing compared to Korver but still very good. He is on his matchup like glue and rarely makes a mistake (though that does come at the cost of any flashy stops). He solid footwork on the glass for a small forward but lacks the strength to be effecive at any of the larger forward positions. None were surprised with Jones coming out this year as his forward position would easily be taken over by South Beaches' latest resident. Scouts like what they saw from him but wonder if he has the motor for the next level, leading to the lower potential grade.

Luke Walton C+ C+ C- C+ C B

Walton is another defensive swingman coming out this year. Like Jones he have very good range and touch from outside. He love to play above the rim and has the strength to finish against all but the biggest of matchups. He has an excellenet first step and a very balanced defensive approach to the game. Solid, not exceptional, potential but should be a solid addition to many lineups.
