evidently boer has been moved to the closer and chrstian Jones has moved to the nunber 3 starter with keudell no 2

Really not a bad move since Jones and Keudell are good enough starters and the team needs a solid pitcher to close games out.

It's not a bad move if Kuedell and Jones perform, but it's still a desperate move. Boer is a great closer, but he's also an elite-level starting pitcher. It'll be interesting to see if Kuedell and Jones can bring leads into the late innings for this to even matter. Neither one of them are Madison Boer.

If this really is 'the solution', I'd like to know why we're just now getting around to implementing it. We've known since the second or third week of the season that McGough couldn't get it done and Moen is the only dependable arm that can come in for relief.

Sometimes Moen is "the only dependable arm". He has gotten caught up in our implosions a couple games too.

Well, no one's perfect. He does have a 1.57 era, though. he's not giving up much.

It'll be interesting to see how they use Boer today and tomorrow. He pitched two innings last night, and there's a difference between pitching 8 innings in one game and 5-6 innings over the span of three games.

Maybe it's just an 'Oregon bullpen thing'. Boer gives up one run in the 8th, then puts runners on first and third before inducing a DP. Good thing we had a 5 run lead for him!

Great day for the offense, though. That was really nice to see. 5 Stanford errors helped.

It really hurts not having Serna playing like last season. I think him and McGough's lack of production have hurt us a lot this year. Nice to see KC finally come through yesterday.

Serna and McGough have been big disappointments by far this year. You have to wonder how much that opening suspension of Serna impacted him since he's never been in a rhythm all year. I have no idea what happened to McGough, but he seemed to lose confidence in a lot of his pitches.
