This just in: I fn hate the Huskies. In every sport. I wish that weasel was still coaching there. So easy to hate that guy. Not like you need any reason to dislike them.

we dropped to #17 in the rpi. losing didn't help, obviously, but our sos actually fell considerably this weekend.

i don't really know what to make of washington. they're 10-5, but 4 of their wins came against a horrible st. joseph's team. they have taken series against decent san diego state and uc irvine teams. they lost a series to a really good cal poly team, they they weren't beat bad. i wouldn't expect a sweep, but i'd love to take two. huskies can hit.

I think we can take some positives away from last weekend, in that we tasted defeat in a couple of close games. We've been on the positive end of those close games, and I think sometimes, when a team does have early come-from-behind success, it may lapse into the "throw-the switch" mentality.

Also - It's great to have a legitimate 4th-year-senior presence on the team - that can't be underestimated.

Is it just me, or do those 'rookies' (non-starters from a year ago or true frosh) seem to have that 'borderline-cocky' attitude that they can back up on the field?

I can understand why Coach Horton likes this team more than any of his previous three.
