09' Jersey Picks?

Post by Hoagduck »

A ridiculously early projection of what 4 (How many do they make?) jerseys are going to be made available to buy next season.

#6 Walter Thurmond III

#8 Jeremiah Masoli

#9 LaGarrette Blount

#23 Will Tukuafu

Very likely only going to be the first three; linemen don't get much jersey love (see J-Will getting one over Unger) going down the list, there really aren't any other obvious choices. Any dark horses out there?

Harper is a popular player with the fans (at least the ones that didn't read his comments about Eugene in his hometown paper), so he might be a darkhorse candidate.

I agree with your first three though.

I like Jeff Mahel as a dark horse, and i think Ed Dickson is another candidate.

Aaron Pflugrad was a big fan favorite after 07, so they printed his jersey in 08, but he didn't produce, but if he gets a starting job after camp they might keep it.

Good call on Ed Dickson by the way, he might be the most NFL ready player on the team.

I don't know, but the Spring 2009 roster (.pdf file) released on goducks.com shows Blount as #9 still. What makes you think he was considering changing his number?

I could see Crenshaw. He's a senior and they went with Johnson back when Stewart was the starter.

NVM. I'm sure he is still number 9. He had a red #14 jersey on yesterday, but that is probably because they didn't have a red #9.

Thurmond, Masoli, and Blount are givens.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a Dickson, Ward, Maehl, or Paysinger jersey available too.

Im not really a "jersey" guy, but I wish they'd print more D players... I know D isnt sexy and probably doesnt sell as much gear as O players, but thats what kinda makes them cool. Not the typical jersey everyone would expect.

Chung is the only one I can remember in recent memory?!? I would love to see a Ward jersey... not that I would wear it, but Im sure others would like it... ;)

Some things in life are worth a night on a couch. After 28 years of marriage my cushions bear witness to sticking to my guns...even if some were not the smartest of decisions...
