Luck at Stanford had a huge day also: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.c ... 17202H.DTL
Stanford gets a little more scary every day.

I agree with that Stanford comment. Every parent wants their kid to TRY to get a Standford degree. If there program keeps getting positive media attention and wins, it might get a little scary. Who knows what Harbough will be able to do with this though?

Also, Greg Paulus from Duke's basketball team is looking to Purdue for a start and finish to his college football career. It is only a possibility considering there are a lot of teams in the mixed for his final season.

It's weird how I don't seem to mind Stanford getting better. They're the only conference rival I feel that way about.

That would be great if Paulus went to Purdue. Would increase the exposure of that game exponentially. Probably a long-shot. But, if he looked decent at their first game against Toledo, we might be able to get an espn gameday out of it. :)

Utah had it's spring game on Saturday and there is a real battle at QB between their two Juniors and a freshman. Although Utah is losing a lot of talent they are looking pretty good so this is a game that could be scary with Cal coming into Autzen the following week, I could see the Ducks possibly overlook the Utes. Also they have some big, tall, strong WR's that I can see giving Allioti's D some trouble.

“He’s going to scare quarterbacks alone just lining up. Just his presence on the field is going to create a lot of problems,” Clark said.

Paea is someone whose name will soon be called in an NFL draft near you. And if the Beavers develop a few more like Paea on defense, USC won’t be the only Pac-10 school known for its seamless ability to reload.

Yeah, he sure scared Masoli "just lining up" OSu's secondary is gonna get torn to peices this year. Cantfield is looking like an all american in spring against them and the second & third string QBs are looking just as good. That's not good news for beefer fans.

It's one thing to plug lineman & LBs into a system, it's a whole other thing to replace a secondary. There's no system for that, either you can cover the WR lined up opposite of you or you can't.

I've actually heard almost the opposite of Stanford. Yes they are getting better, and yes Luck is doing well, but their defense is not. There is a video on YouTube of their spring game, and they core a lot of points. And a lot of receivers are WIDE open. I heard these defensive concerns from Ferd fans.

The Broncos may be without one of their D-Lineman who was arrested for DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident.

The 6-foot, 320-pound Atkinson emerged as a promising player during fall camp last August, and again during camp this past spring. He was last season's Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year.
It will be interesting to see how Peterson reacts to this. He is generally pretty tough on his players when they break the law, but something tells me that he may want to beat the Ducks so badly that he will be soft on this one.

This from Moseley's Blog courtesy of MrC:

I heard the BSU driver waited until the other driver was totally defenseless before he hit him. Then he bragged about it for a whole season.

That story made me sad as that kid is from a high school in my region. I personally hope he can avoid making a mistake like that again in the future, not just for his own sake but also society's. He was a stud in high school around here along with his teammate who is also committed to BSU out of junior college. How those 2 D-1 athletes on the same team in the same class did not win a championship in their senior year is something that's still debated among people around here.
