Big hit by Healy, bats need to pick it up this weekend. Congrats to Linfield

reed was masterful. looked like a postseason vet who knew what to expect going in. let's hope thorpe and irvin can match him.

i've said all year that healy has picked up the offense and put it on his back single handily, but yikes. i wasn't looking for a literal example last night, but we got one anyway.

the bottom of our line-up is pretty awful. that's not going to surprise anyone. but when hambright, graham, and hoffman all get on and load the bases like they did in the 2nd, and one of our few capable bats comes to the plate... man, you have to take advantage. we could have broken the game open early had alto found a hole. that was a huge moment in the game, and it went to sdsu.

thomas looked a little lost at the plate. let's hope it was more rust than a lingering wrist issue... hard to swing with a bad wrist. rust can be shaken off in a game or two.

horton said heineman might be able to go today. as i mentioned in the blog, i hope it's not at the expense of baumgartner. i would think last night would be yet another shining example of why we need all the capable bats possible in the line-up.

2 hits. Smh.....

Btw Beavers struggled a lot too. They were down 4-3 going into the bottom of the 9th against UTSA, until they got a walk off double.
