Purdue kickoff time, 7:15pm
http://blogs.registerguard.com/cms/inde ... t-715-p.m/
This blows… I understand the importance of being on TV as much as possible, but for those of us that come from Portland for the games the 7:15 kickoff time is tough.
One of the reasons ASU gave for not changing the game time of their game last season against us was that their fans have come to expect their kickoff time to be the same for every game and that due to fan loyalty they (ASU AD) didnt want to change the game time…
Ugh.

I live in Salem and love the later starts especially for the September games for a couple of reasons.....1) more time to tailgate. 2) NO SUN BURN as a fair skinned man I appreciate not having to lather in sun block spf 40 aka albino cream. 3) the fans are more rowdy at night games which is fun to observe and 4) you can never go wrong with too much TV exposure...helps the recruiting tremendously.

Yeah i love me a night game. I would argue Oregon plays better at night games in Autzen, after that miraculous triple OT Game vs SC in 1999, the come from behind win vs Cal(When the lights went out), and the thumping of Washington in last years opener.

Besides, 7:15pm our time means that those Purdue kids are going to be starting a game at 10:15pm their time. That works in our favor.

Night games are the best. You have to have 1-2 a year. There is just something special about watching a game under the lights. Plus, it IS a Saturday night, most would prolly be up late regardless.

I don't mind the night games because I get to watch the other games during the day. Either way, I just want the season to start!

night game is september is way better then a night game in late october or november.
I come down from portland too, late game means for tailgate time and a chance to watch other games during the day, the only down side is the east coasters are asleep by halftime! That will suck for purdue's fans

I like the atmosphere of night games and don't mind being out late (coming from Portland as well).
The only drawback for me though is that it's too late to keep my 3 year old out. So, I can't bring him to those games. The Halloween game is especially tricky because I have obligations to go trick-or-treating with my kids, etc. But, I want to make it to the game also.

I absolutely love night games. It's a little rough during the school yeah, but since this game is before school starts, it's going to be awesome.uodux1212 wrote:http://blogs.registerguard.com/cms/inde ... t-715-p.m/

I love night games. Anyway, just about 3 months until the season starts. The football offseason is way too long.

Couldn't agree more. What sucks is that there's no sport to out there right now to keep me busy... Late May, June, July, and August are dud months when it comes to sports. Don't get me wrong, I like to watch MLB, but not nearly as much as NCAAF/B, NBA, or NFL.duckgrad99 wrote:I love night games. Anyway, just about 3 months until the season starts.
