Maybe I'm the one making a mistake. But, it looked like they listed Oregon AT USC this year.

Lake Oswego, Jesuit, Central Catholic, Sheldon... Worse than Vale? No way they have a legit claim to the best program in the state.

Obviously Vale couldnt compete with Lake O, Sheldon, and Jesuit. But look up on osaa.org the history behind Vale football. For a very small town basically located in Idaho they are very very good. Just because a school is one of the biggest in the state does not mean they are not a powerhouse.

I noticed that too, and when they were mentioning other notable players from the state of Oregon they said Bobby Morre And Ahmad Rashad

As for Vale I don't get "for a small school" argument. They play other small schools. It's not like Hoosiers where in Indiana back then all classifications played in the state tournament together. I would put Vale in the top 10.

That's kinda like saying Appalachian State is the best program in the country because they're really really good for being a small school. Hooray for Vale, but they are nowhere close to the best program in the stateduc_15 wrote:Obviously Vale couldnt compete with Lake O, Sheldon, and Jesuit. I get what your saying about the small school thing. For a while though they did play in the 2nd highest classifacation. They have 10 championships in 14 title game appereances, and 23 semifinal appereances.

Well in my perspective, I've never even heard of Vale. You would have to look at Marshfield, North Medford, Jesuit, Lake O.

The point was not who was the best team once every few years or has been good the last 2 or the biggest school, it was who has the best program over a long period of time.. and so vale takes it with all those championships and title game appearances they have the best Program.

Never heard of Vale.
Sunset '93 would crush them. That goes for Jesuit to. We DID crush them.
Roseburg... that was a different story.

I'm old, and have heard of Vale... At one tme they had a looooong streak of consecutive wins and titles that no other school has come close to matching... That is what the recognition was for: Totally dominating their own classification.

My wife said "I didnt know Troy Polamolu played at DD". Me "he didnt"...
There was more misinformation than facts... distracting.
CFL should know that USC will be AT Oregon on Oct 31, hasn't GameDay gave them a heads up?!? Hahaha

Dude, the point was not who would beat who, or who had the best team in 93' its who has the best PROGRAM. Vale does because of their long standing quality football program.
