I saw them too. I was so confused because I didn't know teams did that. Almost every team, at least football and basketball, stay at Valley River Inn when they play OSU.

Corvallis is so bad that I have seen the football teams playing the Beavers staying Friday night at the Phoenix Grand and Salem Conference Center in "downtown" Salem. Salem people....hahahaha. Saw the UCLA buses and another team in the past seasons.

Corvallis is so bad that I have seen the football teams playing the Beavers staying Friday night at the Phoenix Grand and Salem Conference Center in "downtown" Salem. Salem people....hahahaha. Saw the UCLA buses and another team in the past seasons.

Hey now, Salem is a paradise compared to Corvallis. The Phoenix Grand is better than any accommodations found down there in Deliverance country.

When both teams play at home, most of the time the team playing the beefers stay at the Phoenix Grand in Salem. I work banquets there and have been there while UCLA, Washington, ASU and Washington St. have been in town. It is very interesting how different the teams get ready the night before. UCLA rented out the entire conference center attached to the hotel and they had a large "300" viewing with all the favorite movie snacks.
