Great review.

I'm really excited about Karaviotis, seems like the perfect replacement for JJ. Isn't he supposed to be a pretty good fielder too? Gonna be weird having Minjares potentially starting for us. Don't have much of a sample for him despite him being a senior.

Like I said in a different thread, Catcher offense play will be the difference this year. I think Graham has a monster year.

I don't understand how Reed could get the closing nod over Cleavinger... Cleavinger is a monster.

cleavinger is indeed a monster, but perhaps he's not the best in practice situations. i guess he looked borderline awful in fall ball his freshman year, then showed up in the spring and just dazzled everyone. if it's an open competition and he doesn't have his a-material, i could definitely see reed taking it. reed has great stuff. his problem last year was losing focus. he'd stack together several quality innings in a row before imploding on himself in the 4th or 5th. if it's a one inning showdown, i'd want reed on my team. i haven't been to any of the scrimmages though, so i dunno.

i don't know if graham has a monster year, but i do think he's entirely capable of putting together a brett hambright-esqu season, which would probably be enough to really help us out.
