Re: Throwback Uniforms
sorry don't mean to be snappy and I understand the hesitation to believe something some random dude on the internet says.
I don't know what they will look like..all i heard was Throwback uniforms and Cal Game. Nike is known for making last second changes as well..
For instance the black out prototypes that we originally saw had green piping and a stripe down the jersey.
Whatever the style I think WTIII will instruct his teammates on the proper way to wear a jersey 80's/90's style.
The one thing i think we can rule out is an old DTO (duck through O) emblem anywhere on the uniform. Since Nike has done everything in its power to eliminate said emblem.

Re: Throwback Uniforms
If it does indeed happen for the Cal game, that is sort of fitting since they wore throwbacks a few seasons ago.

The throwbacks Cal wore are some of my favorite football unis of all time.

Me too. Nike did a great job with those and I'm sure that if we do indeed get throwbacks for a game this year, that they will be great as well.Elduderino wrote:The throwbacks Cal wore are some of my favorite football unis of all time.

Re: Throwback Uniforms
Apparently UCLA is looking at wearing some throwbacks this season as well.

Re: Throwback Uniforms
I could see the team wearing the Rose Bowl team uniforms, the Akili Smith era uniforms, and my preference, the Joey Harrington era uniforms.

Re: Throwback Uniforms
The Rose Bowl uni's would be sweet... These are my fav, from my "era" circa 1992-1996

Are we the only team in the nation that can wear uniforms from 1994 and be considered "throwback"?!?!? Love it... The

Re: Throwback Uniforms
My personal choice i think would be the Akili Smith Era uniforms. I think it would be cool maybe to honor some of the guys from that team as well. Bring back Smith, Droughns, Tony Hartley, etc. I dunno. its a thought.
For some reason i have never seen that Cal throwback uni before and its pretty cool. It kind of reminds me of a CFL type of uniform (probably the C on the side).
If you are so inclined you can visit EA sports teambuilder website and put together your own throwback uniform if you want...

I've started on my own if you search the site under Throwback Oregon or my xbox live name Dazzwhatshesed.
If anybody has a good link for the 1998 roster i would be much obliged.

Re: Throwback Uniforms
IMO wearing a throwback uniform occasionally is long overdue.
I can't wait to see what it looks like. Thanks for the post, spacefrog.

If they wear the mid 90's then they must bring back the oversized shoulder pads and the huge neckbraces.

I imagine it's just the inverse of the jersey. Maybe with yellow numbers instead of white?echo31 wrote:Too bad those are "away" colors ... i wish I could find a color photo from that era of the home uniforms
