mid-week game, so the coaches are going to tinker a bit with the line-up:
2B payne
LF grebeck
RF baumgartner
3B tolman
DH bryant
1B balta
C chase
CF hoffman
SS minjares
gold on the bump.

6-0 UO, bot 1
six runs on five hits as oregon is battering the pilot pitcher. the only out was made when grebeck laid down a sac bunt. shaun chase just smashed a three-run HR.

fun with early season stats: entering the game, the portland pitcher had given up 1 ER in 10 IP, good for a 0.90 ERA. after giving up six earned and only recording 1 out, his ERA has now bumped to 5.40.

Have to say I'm not a big fan of the gray inserts near the back of the knees/inner thigh. Looks cheap and they seem to have no real design function.

Yup saw that too, really ugly honestly. Ironic too, just as I was praising how nice the uniforms were.greenyellow wrote:Have to say I'm not a big fan of the gray inserts near the back of the knees/inner thigh. Looks cheap and they seem to have no real design function.
Anyway, good 8-2 win today. Love seeing 12 hits, and only giving up 3 hits. Good stuff. AJ Balta and JB Bryant are awesome additions to this team.

Not speaking from actual knowledge, but could those be chafe pads, similar to those worn by winter sports specialists like speed skaters?UOducksTK1 wrote:Yup saw that too, really ugly honestly. It would make a twisted sort of sense, although why the contrasting color is necessary is beyond me.
