the mantra is always the same: you're not going to win every series, but whatever you do, don't get your ass swept. oregon has only been swept once the last two years, and at least salvaging a game over the course of a weekend has led to a pair of national seeds.

Getting swept is inexcusable. They clearly have some work to do. I know this team is capable of great things but getting swept after a great start is certainly concerning.

Oregonfan is not wrong, he didn't say the sky is falling, he said it's concerning and it is. Getting swept is a big deal, yes Fullerton is a legit top 5, and even maybe top 2 team, but if Oregon wants to be a legit top 10 team and get a national seed, sweeps can't happen, you have to find a way to at least get 1.

I'd be more concerned if all three games were like Friday's. In the other two games though, they're right there. Just tighten things up a little, and they could have come out of this series 2-1.

In any case, it is good this happened early rather than late. Plenty of time and opportunity still.

Had all three games been like the Friday debacle, I would be far more concerned. If this is repeated, it is definitely a potential problem.

The more likely scenario is the guys will take this to build a fire in their bellies, and avoid a repeat.

Losing two games by one run is fine. The first game is what I'd say is unacceptable, but Thorpe had a bad game.

And CSF is probably a top 3 team when it's all said and done, so just sweep Seattle and tOSU now. :)
