Rumors Surrounding Tajh Boyd Anything But Accurate

Tajh says he is not having major knee surgery (This after the world was told he had played with a torn ACL?) but only a simple outpatient procedure, he is not on the verge of a commitment, he may take another visit, and tOSU and Oregon are even.

I never trust anything that comes out of Ohio. Its a simple rule.

Like he would tell them if he was about to commit to Oregon, what a bunch of idiots. They must thing they are Rivals or The New York Times or something.

Why would he and his parents lie about a torn ACL? Doesn't make any sense whatsoever. They are just talkin out their butts.

This is turning into Terrell Pryor 2.0...

I'm getting tired of East Coast recruiting, the farthest east we should start going is Texas. We can land 4/5-stars from Texas, but we can't pull it off any farther east.

Will you feel the same way after Oregon gets Boyd's LOI?

I'll give you 19/20 year-old JC recruits who've already left the nest... we can get them, and Blount is a good example.

But I think it's gonna be next to impossible to pull these superstar 17 year-olds across the country when their parents want them closer to home, especially when these kids have like 20 offers. Yeah, we can get 2/3-star kids whose only other offers are UAB and UCF, but not the elite talent out East.

Yeah thats it, lets not try and get the top talent in the country because you can't handle if they turn us down. WTF?

We cannot stop trying. You don't get the feeling that chasing Pryor, Streeter, and Harris hurt us last year. Maybe we would've gotten somobody of higher caliber than Krout but we were fine this year at wide receiver and it looks like it will follow into next year. Again, chasing Boyd and Brown won't affect us either. We really don't have to go after either position with the depth chart including Masoli, Roper, (Costa), Thomas and Blount, James, Crenshaw & Alston respectively. Plus we have an ace in the hole at both positions with Harper. Likewise, we have led in the process with Boyd and Brown, so the jury is still out. Give Chip Kelly two more years with Masoli at the helm and we'll be landing these guys.

I second this ... if you can't stand getting turned down once in a while then don't follow recruiting ... does every girl you ask out say yes?

I'm okay with missing out on 5* recruits from the East Coast because it will be worthwhile when we land one ... if the worst case scenario is that they go somewhere else, and the best case scenario is that they become Ducks, then it is worth the risk

This is a good point that I think is too often overlooked. What happens when/if Harper's shoulder injury is healed? Maybe he will be a good QB for us yet ... who knows.

Bill Kurelic is generally a trust worthy source. He is biased but he doesn't make crazy predictions and gets good info. The information is probably correct. He has done some work for rivals and contributes to ESPN as well.
