this is washington's best team in YEARS. big test. can't lose two straight series.

just to expand on that, washington is 20-5 and in first place in the pac-12 @ 10-1. they've won 10 straight... took the last two from ASU in tempe, and swept arizona and usc. they can hit and their pitching has been limiting everyone. their weekend rotation has allowed over 4 runs in a game just once since the very first weekend of the year. they're going to be a very, very tough out.

thorpe dodged a lot of bullets tonight. a very oregon-like game offensively, 5 runs on 4 hits. definitely not hitting the ball as well as i had hoped, of washington's three starters this guy would definitely be the most likely to tag. ah well. can't argue with the results thus far.
