Terrence Pritchett
What is the deal with this? Anyone know?
It sounds like he is taking a medical redshirt and will stay on scholarship, but Chip goes out of his way to say "he has played his last down as a Duck."

Pritchett, who was suspended last fall and returned to the team this spring, is taking a medical redshirt.
Pritchett is not known to have an injury; medical redshirts can be applied to players whose conditions are mental as well as physical.

Coach Chip Kelly said Patterson could be added to the roster after the opener against Boise State when rosters expand from the opening 105, but Pritchett's Oregon career is over.

Re: Terrence Pritchett
If a player is no longer a member of the football team, it frees up a football scholarship, whether or not the school continues to pay for his education. So like I said, add another number to the available scholarship total.goyellowgreen wrote:nope, he gets to keep his schollie!

from Adam Jude (via Moseley)
"Patterson has a lower leg injury and recently had surgery, Kelly said. Pritchett, who was suspended last fall, is taking a medical redshirt and is “not cleared to play any longer,"
That is subtly different than his career being over

From what I have been told, and from what has been reported by multiple sources (Moseley of The Register-Guard and Hunt of The Oregonian), Terrance Pritchett's football career at the University of Oregon is over.

TP problems have to do with him unfortunately getting into trouble with his personal life.. A close source that knows TP informed me that he got into popping pills and that is the reason for him no longer being apart of the Oregon football program.

What a bummer.. Sad to see people waste away their lives when giving an incredible offer.duckfbfan15 wrote:TP problems have to do with him unfortunately getting into trouble with his personal life.. Hopefully TP can fix up his life and get back on track elsewhere.

Re: Terrence Pritchett
I had a class with him this summer, he showed up to all but one class and he looked just fine. We are only turning in papers tomorrow so I probably won't see him but if I do I will ask him what's up.
