I really like our defense this season

Im hoping the status quo on Defense will be changed by the regime change... I dont think Kelly will put up with some of NA's tactics this season... we can always hope right?!?

I'm loving our LB group this season. What's amazing is that all of them will be back next season. I'm excited to see what Pleasent can do on the field, I think he could be a big force for us. If not, we have depth to come in and fill in any voids.

I agree. Pleasant is like a little fire hydrant missile. I expect him to lay a few T.J. Ward-esque hits on opponents this year.

Remember that Allioti is still here. Our defense was also highly regarded before last season and it disappointed even with guys like Chung and Byrd here. Until Nick is gone, I will remain skeptical about the defense.

Until NA has at least 2-3 consectuive seasons of dominant performances by his "D", I will be on the edge of my seat every time it's 3rd or 4th and long.

These guys need to learn to bear down, without self-destructing!

Of course, if that were to happen, somebody would probably try to hire him away...

Chip has already changed the D a little bit by wanting them to play a lot faster and I don't think he wants to sell out to stop the run every game. I saw that in the last 4 or 5 games.
Also I think coach Azz is not only going to make a big difference with the D line but with the whole defense with his enthusiasm.
