Tajh Boyd to redshirt

So much for going to Clemson for early PT...

"I think it's pretty obvious that Tajh Boyd can be very special, but physically he's not ready," Swinney told the Anderson (S.C) Independent-Mail. "I'd feel very terrible if he got hurt again right now, if we took the purple (non-contact) jersey off and threw him to the wolves. I don't think he's ready for that coming off surgery.

"Mentally, he's still got a ways to go but he's a very smart kid, getting a good grasp on the things he needs to do to manage the team. He's done a nice job with his opportunities and what we've asked him to do. I do think he has an unlimited future in front of him."

I really hope the Swinny sales pitch isn't as effective next year.

This one just irked me. By nearly all accounts Tahj wanted to be a duck but it was another case of the parents not seeing the campus or oregon. I hope it wasn't seriously about him being able to play early, because that is pretty short of ridiculous. No freshman QB should start. Period.
Stewart Mandel-"From a purely aesthetic standpoint, I much prefer to watch a good spread-rushing offense over a traditional Power-I offense, and Oregon's has been the most fun by far for the past several years. It's fast, its precise, and when Chip Kelly has the right quarterback (Dixon, Masoli) at the helm, the possibility of someone ripping off a 60-yard run exists on nearly every play."

I'm already over Boyd. Masoli, DT, and Costa is good enough. DT will be our guy in a few years.
