Apparently, Alston had a really good practice today.
We saw Crenshaw his Sophomore year, after Johnson got hurt. He stepped right in and he didn't miss a beat, and the Ducks weren't hurt with out Johnson. Crenshaw is a lot like Johnson, just not as quick. He was hurt most of last season, that is why we didn't see him last year.
Crenshaw is a very shifty running back. Not very good break-away speed. Doesn't break many tackles.
Once Alston sees a hole he is through it in a heartbeat. Once he gets his motor going he's hard to stop. Still haven't seen enough of him though.

Yeah against Washington, where we ran all day on them. I'm not trying to bring down Crenshaw, but I'm merely saying it's hard to argue the better player between Crenshaw and Alston.
I for one like Alston's skill set and think injuries have been holding him back.
