Here's a quote, but I highly recommend reading the whole report.
I LOVE how our QBs are looking! I haven’t been this excited about three QBs at the same time since we had Akili Smith being backed up by AJ Feeley and Joey Harrington. (talk about Quarterback “U”) Thomas is looking more confident, with better throws, and doing it with some added bulk. JM and Nate are seeing the field better and passing the ball BETTER than any time I’ve seen them in scrimmage situations in the past. Even when things break down as they did for one play for Costa, we see Davis come back and to the middle as Nate sprints to the sideline and releases a sidearm strike to Drew for an easy first down. Another time we see the pocket collapse on Masoli and he breaks for the sideline, stops on a dime, and nails Ed Dickson in the middle who then proceeds downfield on his delayed post pattern. This is certainly the NEXT level that I didn’t see last fall or spring and the work in the offseason along with their experience and seasoning is becoming evident in the passing game. I’m trying to curb my excitement, but these clues make it hard!
I could swear that I saw a “half-wing” formation out of the pistol shotgun. (figure that one out) I also thought I saw a variation of the wishbone BEHIND the shotgun. Did they run option, pass out of it, or merely fake us all out? Not telling. Perhaps the reasons for a totally closed Scrimmage Tuesday ARE warranted?

I saw that. It was just a pistol formation with the "TAZER" lined up next to the deep back. We've used it before. But it is different, and I like it.
And to go along with the QB's, I was thinking the same thing. Masoli and Costa were the only QB's to get reps during 11 on 11 situations, but they already were looking better than the other practice I went to last Monday. The passes made, the decisions to pull and run, they look sharp. The completion percentages weren't quite there, but part of that was due to excellent coverage. The ONLY catches I saw that were made against Thurmond during the entire practice were 5 yard hitches, when he gave some cushion. He's just amazing. Jeff Maehl and Tuinei (again), and Diante Jackson looked really good today. They were all making great catches that sparked some enthusiasm in the offense. Also, Drew Davis is somewhat quietly doing well. He was the only receiver I saw that went 100% on every rep of every drill. He'll be great. Today got me excited. (See ^^^^^^^^^^I couldn't stop typing)
From the sound of things and probably the reason the next scrimmage is going to be limited to public view is there is a lot of new crazy plays the Ducks will have this season. I think despite the inexperience on both lines this could be a good year! I can't wait for Sept 3rd to get here!

What's the over/under on the chances we see a quadruple option this year? Or some A-11 action? With Chip at the helm, anything's possible!

Double reverse, half-back option pass, to a hook and lateral. Heard it here first.
duckscribe has attended all the practice over the last two week. I receive calls twice a day from the field with updates. The consistent theme is the QBs and receivers. The word is expect to see something new from #4 jersey - LT, is reportedly "glue", Maehl is far better than last year and DJ is going to blow people away when fully integrated into the system. Dickson is looking sensational in the Taz position.
All the QBs are getting positive reviews including Hawkin who may end up a QB rather than ATH. Just duscksribes opinion.
duckscribe has reported several times that they are lining up in a wishbone but immmediately go into motion. I can see that actual being a played formation at the goal line with all the talent we have and the strong blocking that Dickson could provide as a lead blocker if lined up in the wishbone.
I think BSU is in for some big surprises. Hopefully a few aren't need at BSU and we can share them with Cal.
I just remember a semi WTF moment with Dixon's Statue of Liberty, and a full on WTF moment with the fake Statue. I can't wait for the full on "did that really just happen????" this year!
Since everyone in attendance at the CW and Holiday Bowl(With the exception of the Ducks themselves...) already experienced a couple major WTF moments, I have a feeling that this will be an exciting season for Oregon fans.
Maybe that shouled have been the slogan on the Oregon Spirit Tees:
?!?WTF?!? !!!DUCKS!!!
Autzen Stadium... Where great teams go to die...Hard!
I can't wait for this season. I was watching some of the College football live shows last week, and they were talking about non-BCS teams who are looking to make a splash, and who better for sharing some fabulous uneducated information with than good ole' Kirk Herbsreit. He said that BSU should put the ducks down pretty easily...I hope he's there to announce the game.
