i just don't agree. pathetic, sure. perplexing implies that one expected oregon to go to OKC and perform well, which i certainly did not expect for the reasons already given.

You are about the only person that isn't perplexed then. Most fans are perplexed, the people that rank the teams are perplexed (obviously, they wouldn't keep ranking the Ducks so high if they didn't expect them to perform better at the WCWS) and Mike White is perplexed.

"I'm still trying to find out what the deal is, why we can't put it together," White said Thursday. "I don't know whether it's nerves or trying too hard but we'll find a solution to it. That's the test for us, the hard thing for us."

well, i'm glad coach white is searching for answers instead of throwing his hands up and saying "it's hopeless."

we just need to recruit a little better. we're not far off, no need to scrap the drawing board, just gotta tweak some things.
