I thought Lubick did a great job of calling the game in the first half. Tempo was so much better. That punt/throw almost happened.

The punter threw a nice ball. Chuck just dropped it.

I'm a girl and I noticed our defense playing way too soft in the second half. Yes, no offense on our part but no pressure on their QB at all.

We gave them a HUGE gift.

They were blitzing Lockie all night long. Why? Because he's the backup, its what you do. That is unless your Pellum, then you drop 8, put no pressure on the quarterback and watch him pick you apart for 47 points while you stand there scratching your head.

Forcing 1 punt, or achieving 1 first down in the second half likely changes the outcome... Or having a QB with the presence of mind NOT to put his kne down while retrieving a muffed center exchange.

Lockie and Brenner looked like they were playing scared...

So now we know we are 62 points worse with Lockie and Brenner (vs Adams and Hegarty).

I'm still sad our defense couldn't hold off a TCU team with a backup QB for just one more half, even if our offense was sucky.
