I think I saw on twitter that he's enrolling at Oregon State.
Edit: Nemec, sleezeball of the Oregonian, reports that he's headed to OSU as a walk-on. That seems to be a great pickup for the Beavs under those circumstances.

What makes Nemec sleezy? Honest question, don't know much about him.StevensTechU wrote:I think I saw on twitter that he's enrolling at Oregon State.

In the public eye- Makes fake quotes by anonymous sources, tries to play the 'hey kids, I'm cool, you can talk to me' card that is creepy from a grown manTray Dub wrote:What makes Nemec sleezy? In private- because he's a fraternity brother of mine, I will say he's done some really f'd up things that include assaulting a homeless person
Not a person of high character. Don't trust him farther than I can throw him.

I can't stand that he holds himself out as an expert. Just because you watch football, does not make you an expert or in any way a scout. I have no idea what I am talking about in terms of schemes and player identification... and am I am perfectly cool with that.StevensTechU wrote:In the public eye- Makes fake quotes by anonymous sources, tries to play the 'hey kids, I'm cool, you can talk to me' card that is creepy from a grown manTray Dub wrote:What makes Nemec sleezy? Having coached my entire life, I can assure you that watching a football game has made a multitude of experts.

Not as much as having a child playing football. Parents are the ultimate experts and talent evaluators of the other players and coaching schemes on the teams their kids play on.DaDads wrote:Having coached my entire life, I can assure you that watching a football game has made a multitude of experts.

Re: Trey Lowe is in the transfer portal...
Last two soccer teams I coached, I had multiple parents with semi-pro or college level playing experience, plus one no it all former youth coach who demanded I change my coaching style or her daughter (Who was actually very talented) would be moved to volleyball or softball, rather than suffer my "limited skills and control of the team".
Funny thing... The former players were all disappointed when I hung up my cleats after last season (I'm sixty-six now, and my family needs me due to health issues). while everyday, I saw the former coach's daughter sitting somewhere on the sidelines, cheering and encouraging her former teammates (Sometimes sneaking out of softball practice to do so.).
I may pontificate at times, but I try to limit it to subjects I know, and let the experts hash things out for themselves.
