Honestly i don't believe it will hurt them too much in this recruiting class. Most of their commits probably committed there because of the academics and Jim Harabaugh.

THIS WAS THE REASON PHILLIPP CHOSE THE BEAVERS!
The reason he didn't chose us was our depth chart was too stacked.
I mentioned this in chat last night but it got lost in the shuffle.

Ah... okay, now Philip's choice is making more sense. Although I would still be hard pressed to give up a Stanford education for that of OSU... But, all the best to the kid and hope he made the right choice for himself.

jhop, this is interesting info. Is this your theory or did it come from a source/chat? Haven't heard this version re Phillip?

Bummer for Stanford if that is true, could really have landed a stud in Phillip.

It's still odd that Phillip didn't go to Stanford. After all, they still have great academics and an up and coming football program.

Re: Stanford OC just resigned
I honestly can't remember where I got the info from, it was from a couple days ago, and it stated Phillips already knew about the coaching change at Stanford and thus why he's a beaver. And that was his rationalization for the choice, not mine, stupid decision IMHO.
Besides that Miami is interviewing Langsdorf (osu OC) right now for Miami OC position.

Do we think Phillipp will re-consider if Miami ends up stealing OS(EWE)'s OC?
