Not a bad draft to have two picks in the 20s.

Re: 1986 Draft Discussion
Always end up in a situation where I'm choosing between a center and a high potential wing. Let's hope this year ends up better than Schrempf last year
Couldn't pass up an opportunity to pair an elite 3-point shooting guard with Stockton, but so many interesting choices on the board.

Re: 1986 Draft Discussion
Grizzlies now have the luxury of having the #1 pick likely coming off the bench. Lots of talent on that team

Thought he was going to go with Len Bias due to positional need... Drazen looks nice though.

Bias looks nice, Daughtery and Sabonis look nice (others who I was considering), this draft is stacked!Boom wrote:Thought he was going to go with Len Bias due to positional need... Drazen looks nice though.

For your team currently and in two years time, I think you made the right decision.offtheheezy wrote:Always end up in a situation where I'm choosing between a center and a high potential wing. Can provide instant offense if needed and when the older players start to decline you can build around him and Stockton

Thanks for the validation. Yeah, it'll be interesting how much outside offense I can produce with Stockton and Petrovic moving forward.Oregon Ownage wrote:For your team currently and in two years time, I think you made the right decision.offtheheezy wrote:Always end up in a situation where I'm choosing between a center and a high potential wing. Yeah I would of taken Drazen. If he gets a +3 to +5 TC, his ratings start to look real nice.

Re: 1986 Draft Discussion
Yeah, I think I would of tried to trade down and tried to get Bias later on if I was in the Grizzlies shoes. Birdsong, McHale, Lister, Stockton have the makings of a real good 4. Birdsong will last 4 more years. I think take advantage of the roster he has and don't plan for 4 years down the road.Boom wrote:Thought he was going to go with Len Bias due to positional need... I think at 1, you take BPA and worry about it later. There’s always trades to be made

Trying to get confirmation about this trade via text. If not I'll make my pick in a couple minutes
