Would honestly be a little disappointing.

Only because expectations for the close of this class were extremely unrealistic. No one flips 3-4 5*s on signing day, especially not Oregon.

Correct, it was a rumor that exploded on twitter and nowhere else.

Our staff was trying to get Proctor, Bowen, and Moore all on campus, and at one point was confident it was going to happen. Obviously none of it did and the weekend kind of fell apart. That’s just how recruiting goes sometimes.

Social media has exposed a lot of new fans to recruiting who don’t understand how volatile the process is. They see someone tweeting inside info and instead of understanding that 1. The person could be lying or 2. They could have great sources but things can change in an instant, they not only completely believe it but think it means we’re getting every 5* we’re going after. Which is obviously incredibly naive.

I think a lot of fans who say they have the stomach for recruiting really don't and are really just waiting to blast recruits, coaches, and the program whenever things go wrong.
