2023 QB Jaden Rashada wants release from Gators already
2023 5* QB Jaden Rashada is going to be back on the market after requesting a release from his Florida NLI. Seems Florida messed up on their NIL offerings. Beginning to think Oregon may have dodged a bullet missing out on him.

Does he have to return the bags that brought him to Florida?

Even if it's half the reported number, that's a lot to pay for a FR who's yet to play a down.

This is actually a good question. If they ask for the money back then they're indicating that they're paying for him to play at Florida. I would assume that he hasn't received a dime yet, but who knowskarlhungis wrote:Does he have to return the bags that brought him to Florida?

Uw gave Penix 600k, doubt the can even be in the right ballpark for Rashada. He and his family obviously want paid.

Finding out the actual NIL amounts is always interesting because they are never higher than what's been said, always significantly lower. That 600K is likely far less than the amount Penix would have gotten by being drafted even in the 5th round. Still not an amount to smirk at but one of my main thoughts is that an Oregon NIL offer would be far more legitimate than many other NIL groups.buckmarkduck wrote:StevensTechU wrote:Miami, washington, Nebraska come to mind as options.

Penix was good this year, but I wonder if he was dinged in the draft grade due to injury history. I wouldn’t want to draft a qb with a long history of injuries who is slight of frame.

I think he's dinged more for playing in the DeBoer offense where the sideline makes 90% of the reads pre-snap but that is also all part of the total analysis of him including that time in Indiana. Conversely larger guys like Will Levis and Anthony Richardson who do have to make those calls pre-snap are seemingly 1st round locks with Levis Top 5 and Richardson Top 20.buckmarkduck wrote:Penix was good this year, but I wonder if he was dinged in the draft grade due to injury history. Bryce Young is someone whose biggest knock right now does include his lack of size so I imagine the 2020 Class of Burrow, Tua, Herbert and Hurts does have teams weighing that factor more.
