Sadly I have to admit, when I was a kid/teen, I’d put ketchup on my steak, but that was because my mom believed the proper way to make a stake was by broiling it until it was a dry as a desert and if I didn’t put anything on it I’d spend over an hour gnawing on it, and my mom was too cheap to buy bbq sauce so I had to choose between ketchup and mustard. The ketchup was more of a necessity than a flavor preference.

As a kid that's fine. A child's pallet isn't as sophisticated, but as an adult? Anyone using ketchup on steak as an adult deserves whatever ridicule they get. The more i think about it, the more hurt I am by the insinuation that I might do such a thing. I believe an apology is owed to both of us

My grandfather would put pepper on everything, including vanilla ice cream. I like pepper a lot, that's a little extreme for me
