For those of you who follow the NFL Draft/Scouting, I've always enjoyed Rob Staton of SeahawksDraftBlog.com and he had this blurb about Illinois Center

— Josh Kreutz the Illinois center is showing a lot of promise. He anchored the line well against Michigan — handling Kenneth Grant with ease and holding his own against top-10 pick Mason Graham. While it’s true Graham also had his wins — including a rag-doll push-pull move in the second quarter — Kreutz played fundamentally sound football, understood his assignments and did a mostly terrific job blocking straight-on. He’s tough, physical and was able to move defenders off the spot to creating running lanes. His pass-pro was sound. He’s not a center who loves to get up to the second level or move around to block in space but I think there’s a lot to like here. His father is the famous former Bears center Olin Kreutz — so he has the best bloodlines imaginable. I think he could be a day-two pick. He’s a fourth-year junior so might not declare but I hope he does. I want Seattle to build a leadership core through a tough, physical offensive line. Kreutz has the kind of playing mentality that fits that idea. He’s my fourth ranked center behind Logan Jones, Jake Majors and Parker Brailsford.

Kreutz is a baller. Super tough kid and strong as hell. I feel confident with Harmon, Caldwell, and Keyon up front. Plus other with other guys like Washington coming into the fold, should be reasonable to expect Kreutz being neutralized with fresh bodies. On another note, heard his dad is an absolute football psycho (in a good way; think harbaugh) so I'm sure he will be ready for anything we throw at him.

It's definitely a matchup inside that will end up on a lot of NFL Scout's computers for all of those guys you named. I remember watching his Dad Olin play in the league and I'm not surprised he'd have his kid play for Bielma.

Fortunately (at least from my perspective) the weather forecasters have backed off significantly on the amount of rain that might happen. It now looks like it may not be more than some sprinkles late in the game. And with forecast temps getting above 70, it might be more muggy than anything else.

Even though Oregon does it to their benefit they really need to change the rules to keep defenses from running out the play clock with substitutions.

Hate to admit this but I don’t know that the B1G officials are any better than the pac-12s were…

In a lot of ways I won’t disagree but where I do prefer B1G refs is they aren’t throwing flags every other play. My biggest issue wasn’t that Pac-12 refs were incompetent but they always wanted to throw flags.
