What a way for Oregon to show up in the Big Ten and stomp all over their traditions in their first year in the league. Nearly had a heart attack a couple times late in that game but glad the offense and defense came up with the timely plays when they needed them.

What is it with B1G coaches acting like whiny little bitches when they lose?
Willie Taggart is a dick.

Whining should be a ten yard penalty and loss of down

Just you as usual. Not playing well doesn’t mean they don’t care.
Wash, rinse, repeat with that guy

Franklin has nobody but himself to blame. He had Oregon on the ropes and instead of continuing the basically unstoppable formula of running and finding the tight end, he decided to go long into double coverage and Nikko got the pick. Stupid, stupid play and he deserves to hear that Oregon fight song in his nightmares.

The only really bad call was the no review on their 9-yard catch.

That Oregon's rush defense was gashed so badly, to the tune of nearly 300 yards for PSU, was what was so painful to watch. So glad they have so much time to get that rectified, as whomever they play will surely take notes from this game.

Penn st was the #3 team in the nation so it’s not like they are linfield.
1. Announcers sucked
2. Franklins a a$$. People around Nashville can’t stand the guy from his time at Vandy
3. Worst game by the d this year and they still won
4. Penn states rbs were talked about but Oregons were pretty good too
5. On to the next game 👍🏻

Kenyon had some good honest feedback that you basically hit on. Basically that the defense regressed and while PSU is good they are not 300 yards good.

Yeah saw that, Penn State’s OC did call an amazing game so he deserves a lot of credit, and I sure hope he’s going to West Virginia. But the defense seemed very unprepared and they did not adjust. I wonder if Tosh and Lanning were more focused on a signing day win this week, but I still can’t understand the sluggish play of the defense.

I saw adjustments by the defensive staff, but I didn't see any change to the ability to get off blocks. Different packages resulted in the same thing. Boettcher played OK and everyone else collectively played terribly. Maybe washington set their expectations too low for what offensive linemen are like.

I also want to call out how gimmicky the Penn State offense was. Every wonky formation and trick play they had in the arsenal came out. They really played the like the underdog, which is hilarious given how many years we've been called gimmicky.

I do think that PSU deserves credit for staying with its run-first gameplan even after falling behind 28-10. I even wonder if that caught the Duck D a little off-guard, as maybe they were assuming PSU would become more pass oriented.
