I rarely rant on here, but I fn hate ohio st. Their fans(im in TN) are everywhere, and so conceited. Cant stand their coach(and past coaches). Trying to think of one ohio st player that Ive sorta rooted for in the NFL. Maybe George. Im glad that they are favored. Work your magic Lanning. Hopefully some Oregon fans go to the Rose bowl but Im guessing 2-1 ohio fans to Oregon.

Oregon knew they'd be in the Rose Bowl a few weeks before tOSU fans did, so I think we'll have half the stadium.duckfan96 wrote: Mon Dec 23, 2024 9:42 am I rarely rant on here, but I fn hate ohio st. I feel this myself and 100% agree. At the beginning of the season I was saying that, while there will never be a team that matches the historic legacy of hate we have for Washington, Ohio State is the most likely replacement in the new Big10 era...you could feel it. The jealousy and envy for the attention the new kid on the conference block Oregon was getting has been absolutely palpable from the start. Only they could bring the level of hate energy that could ever come close to matching the Husky rivalry. I hope we absolutely destroy them.

Maybe I’m the exception but I don’t hate Ohio State. Their fanbase is a crazy and the media love is a little excessive but that comes with the territory for historical success. To me they are the gold standard and if Oregon wants to win the B1G and national championship, you have to go through Ohio State. Oregon already beat them once in their way to a B1G championship now they get the chance to beat them again on their quest for a natty. To me this new rivalry is really good for Oregon.

I'm in the same boat. Ohio State has earned their way to act like they're king s***. Also, from everything I've heard, their fans are pretty good people too. For me it's USC. Sure they also came over from the Pac12, but they weren't really considered a rival. My level is dislike for them is almost on par with WashingtonOregonFan4Life wrote: Mon Dec 23, 2024 2:17 pm Maybe I’m the exception but I don’t hate Ohio State. Oh USC is the only team I will actively root for washington to beat, ever. A meteor would be preferable, but the end of the Pac as we knew it was largely on USC. They can lose forever.squintsdd wrote: Mon Dec 23, 2024 3:44 pmI'm in the same boat. Ohio State has earned their way to act like they're king s***. Ohio State fans online are as whiney or more so than any other fanbase in the country. Just absolutely the victim of everything.

I don't hate Ohio State...yet. Those Rose Bowls and the way they acted before Mario went to their house and beat them certainly helped though. I think they have a better roster in terms of NFL talent, but their coach is like a deer in headlights in big moments and the post-game ref-blaming was not a great look, especially when they got away with keeping the ball on that blatant pick by Bassa.
If Oregon stays in the Big 10, there will likely be some incident in the future that will foment the rivalry. Either that or Uncle Phil will die and Oregon will go back several spots in the pecking order and pick it up with the Huskies again. It is not lost on me that Oregon has been punching above their weight for a number of years now and we should enjoy all of this while we can.

Honestly what the revenue sharing means is that our Facilities are still going to be #1 in the nation and that all the money the other schools have now goes to players and coaches and less to upgrading their facilities.
We've got a new indoor facility currently being built and Phil has already planned to make sure the U of O is just fine when he's gone.
