Just for fun…. You give Oregon the first quarter back and say they were shaking off the rust, Oregon is winning 21-20 since.

Edit - they scored the 3rd TD early in the second. Point still stands.

Btw call me a hater but I don’t think the Oregon roster is that great but our coaches until tonight did a great job of covering the weaknesses.

Our secondary is a little better than last year but is still a patchwork secondary via the portal until our young guys develop.

Our G’s, mainly Strother and Harper, are not good players and Iuli has a lot of potential but he’s young and needs to work on technique.

Our LB’s are thin and often times poorly coached.

Gabriel has been great but he is a limited QB and it showed tonight.

Going 13-0 and winning the B1G was really fun and a HUGE accomplishment, but we’re ahead of schedule. Ohio State is a loaded team that’s the result of years of consistent coaching and great recruiting. We’ll get there too, Day had to grow a lot and Lanning will too.

I want to buy into this logic but tOSU was up 34-0 and put things in cruise control. I don’t know that anything free the 1st quarter means much.

I will say this as well, can we all agree that, “rent a quarterback“, is not working? Has great has Nix and Gabriel have been, we have won nothing.

Stein proving yet again that without dudes making plays he can’t scheme anyone open. Gabriel’s been holding onto the ball because our wideouts and TEs are blanketed every play. Oh and we can’t run the ball at all. OL success was all smoke and mirrors that evaporated whenever James was out or we were in obvious run situations.

Well no one can sustain that level in any sports or we would be seeing 100 pt blowouts all the time.

Do we think the OL will be better next year?

Well we definitely need an upgrade in OC and DC.
Wether we will or not is the question.
Even with all this, the OL has been the most disappointing part of the game, but you can tell in the B1G ship game it was apparent

If we get back Conerly 110%! Cornelius is bad and the tackle from Texas State will be an upgrade. Harper has been a bad guard all long but we have had nothing else, Iuli will be better if he stays healthy. And Bedford is better than Strother and Poncho will only get better. Before the year I said our interior OLine isn’t championship worthy and it’s showing tonight. Conerly is the only OLineman that is better than decent. It does suck we lost McRoy.

Don’t think I have ever seen a negative yards rushing, for a game, for a team. Ever. Ducks end the game with negative yards rushing. However you take it, it is an all-time f**k up. Epic f**k up. If your O-line couldn’t produce ONE positive net yard…

Some teams come back hungry when a season ends like this.
Lanning takes a step up the ladder each year. There aren’t many more steps to the top.
