I don't think we need a separate thread to mention that the Ducks continued their march through the "Indiana schools" by routing ND in a 10-1 five-inning run-rule victory in South Bend yesterday. And nice that they did it without using Grein.
Will be interesting to see the polls later today since three of the four teams currently above the Ducks had some struggles over the weekend. While #1 Tennessee won two of three at unranked Ole Miss, #2 A&M lost two of three at home to #9 Arkansas and #3 Texas was swept in Norman by #4 Oklahoma. Because the SEC is considered to be the best softball conference by a mile, I don't know how much any of those three teams will get "docked," but would think that Texas would have to fall a bit, even given that its losses were to the #4 Sooners, possibly allowing the Ducks to move up a spot.
While I don't think there can be any question that the Ducks are really good, I reiterate that I'm just not sure how good since they play in a relatively weak softball conference. Their RPI stands at #13 prior to yesterday's win.

The gawdy win-loss record makes it look like we must play in the WCC.
