Is this the deepest wr and rb group Oregons ever had? Also this could be the tallest group of dbs at Oregon

No, yes, yes.

I'd take Bralon Addison, Darren Carrington, Devon Allen, Charles Nelson, Dwayne Stanford, and Chance Allen (who went on to be very successful at Houston) over the group now. If they played in Will Stein's system where the pass game is more prominent, they'd put up incredible numbers.

That’s tough. If Evan Stewart is out there, I like this WR core by a decent margin. Also, wanna call out that we’re comparing the entire careers of that previous group to a snapshot of this one. We’ll get to see a lot of these guys for another year or two, and I’m hoping it’s a no brainer when we look back on that question in a few years.

Plus, damn can these kids block!!!

No way. That’s crazy talk. Moore is going to be a first round pick, none of those guys even made it 2 years in the nfl. Benson will also make a nfl roster. And even if he’s hurt, Evan will probably be back this year, so that’s 3 legit NFL WRs compared to a bunch of solid college WRs.

And wasn’t Addison hurt in 2014? And Nelson, with big drops was a big reason we didn’t have a 2 score lead early on Ohio State.

People are dismissing Benson due to having to play with Milroe and DJ U. It’s tough for a wr to look good with bad QBs.

If I was drafting these players for 1 college season based on their 2025 and 2014 versions, my order would be something like...

1. Bralon Addison (best hands and best route runner on the list)
2. Darren Carrington (ability to separate was incredible, had over 600 yards receiving all 4 years of college and nearly 1000 his last year)
3. Evan Stewart (potential is high but still waiting to show full development as a receiver)
4. Malik Benson (generously putting 4th when he would have been much lower preseason)
5. Gary Bryant (workman like player with reliable hands; rated this high based on where he is with the current team)
6. Dakorien Moore (will be higher on this list when we're talking about his junior year rather than freshman)
7. Dwayne Stanford (what I wish Kasper would be as a big target with reliable hands)
8. Devon Allen (fastest player on this list, spent time in the NFL)
9. Keanon Lowe (it wouldn't be unreasonable to question why Gary Bryant is so many spots higher than Lowe)
10. Charles Nelson (being this low speaks to the quality of this list
11. Chance Allen (buried on Oregon's depth chart but then showed how good he was with two 700+ yard receiving seasons at Houston)
12. Justius Lowe
13. Jeremiah McClellan
14. Kyler Kasper

If you add tight ends, it's even more 2014. While I would take Sadiq first, I would then take Pharaoh Brown, Johnny Mundt, Evan Baylis (all three are/were NFL players) and then maybe Koa Ka'ai before then taking Jamarri Johnson and Roger Saleapaga.

This team has incredible depth and talent, I just hesitate to say that they're the best ever at every position when it's a proud program with some really great teams the last few decades.

Certainly not the deepest, but in top Duck WR rooms in the modern era, I always think back to 1998. Not a ton of NFL sucess, 6 years and 88 catches for Weaver, 2 years and 14 catches for Griffin; but, excellent college guys.

Different time, different offenses; but, look at those yards per catch:

Damon Griffin (12g): 58 catches for 1038 yards and 7 TDs 17.9 ypc

Tony Hartley (11g): 48 catches for 1015 yards and 10 TDs 21.1 ypc

Donald Haynes (11g): 26 catches for 479 yards and 2 TDs 18.4 ypc

Jed Weaver (12g): 39 catches for 623 yards and 5 TDs 15.9 ypc

Through 6 games before losing Droughns for the season -- in 5 of 6 games, 824 yards, 9 TDs 7.4 ypa

48.5 points per game
522.8 yards per game
240.8 yards rushing per game
282.0 yards passing per game
5.7 yards per rush
10.2 yards per attempt
25.3 firsts downs per game

Jamarri Johnson and Roger Saleapaga will both be day / picks as long as they stay healthy. Roger has been a demon in practice.

Lets revisit this question at the end of this season. We’re only two games in and have only played against vastly inferior opponents…
