QUACK! 2025 RB Jordon Davison commits
Oregon got their 2nd commitment of the day with 2025 RB Jordon Davison committing. He'll pair nicely with Dierre Hill.

I could see him being our feature back by his sophomore year. Hope he pans out! Great pickup!

5* on Rivals, awesome get! Wasn't he leaning elsewhere earlier on in his recruitment? Was it Coach Samples who brought the commitment home?

Re: QUACK! 2025 RB Jordon Davison commits
People thought he'd been either a Michigan or Ohio State lean. From a recruiting interview, he was close to cutting Oregon from his list altogether once Locklyn left but Dan talked him into waiting until Samples was brought on. That patience paid off.DmoneyDuck wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 2:28 pm 5* on Rivals, awesome get! Wasn't he leaning elsewhere earlier on in his recruitment? Now that Davison has committed to the Ducks, I've seen a couple of links to Ohio State sites where various "fans" are now trashing him. "He got too heavy and slowed down." "He'll be a bust at the college level because (insert poorly-researched take here)." "We have enough good backs; didn't really need him." Ahh, human nature. So weird.

I guess it's good we got a senior year of his to watch and make sure he doesn't lose a step.Weston wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2024 9:19 am Now that Davison has committed to the Ducks, I've seen a couple of links to Ohio State sites where various "fans" are now trashing him. I belive when Locklyn was here, he wasn’t interested in UO. Once Samples showed up, we got into the game, plus tOSU has a couple of commits at RB.

Like others pointed out, it'll be good to see how he looks in his senior year. His sophomore tape is better than his junior tape. Regarding the OSU fans, apparently Davison weighed in at the rivals camp at 240 lbs (started 37 lbs over his listed 203 weight). I don't think his normal weight is 203 any more (no idea how old that weight is), but I would imagine he should be closer to 215-220.Weston wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2024 9:19 am Now that Davison has committed to the Ducks, I've seen a couple of links to Ohio State sites where various "fans" are now trashing him. Yea, not gonna lie, his tape is not impressive. Limited athletically. Benefits from having an amazing offensive line. Does seem like he reads well, so maybe he's a Sean Dollars type, or at best, Kani Benoit.

Not sure if it’s known or not, but he was the #1 RB for them last year. Starting over 5* RB and UGA recruit Frazier.StevensTechU wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:46 am Yea, not gonna lie, his tape is not impressive. Limited athletically. Thanks. Maybe there is some fire behind that smoke. I just assumed this was the usual "we didn't want him anyway" sort of a thing. Guess time will tell.bcort wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 12:25 pmLike others pointed out, it'll be good to see how he looks in his senior year. How sophomore tape is better than his junior tape. Re: QUACK! 2025 RB Jordon Davison commits
His JR tape is very limited and different from his SO tape because he suffered some type of lower body injury and was never playing at more 85%.bcort wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2024 12:25 pmLike others pointed out, it'll be good to see how he looks in his senior year. Re: QUACK! 2025 RB Jordon Davison commits
Believe you-me, I've been laughing at myself all season. To put it bluntly, he was fat his senior year. His junior year, he looked great, tons of upside, etc etc. His junior tape made him a national recruit. Then senior season comes around and he's slow, no explosiveness. Because these kids' bodies are evolving all the time, you don't know if it's as simple as needing a nutrition plan or if they're just becoming the adult that they're going to be. It was a risk but he clearly has turned out great.UOducksTK1 wrote: Mon Nov 24, 2025 3:54 pmor better!StevensTechU wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:46 am Yea, not gonna lie, his tape is not impressive.
